Much of the work accomplished by MOKSACVPR is done by dedicated volunteers who serve on one or more or the seven active committees/positions that coordinate the organization’s activities. Chairperson positions are selected by the President and serve for one year. Standing MOKSACVPR committees and coordinator positions and those serving in the roles in 2011-2012 are as follows:
Education and Program Committee
Chairperson: Carolyn Beard, RN, BSN
The Education and Program Committee organizes and coordinates the annual MOKSACVPR conference and any additional education programs. Member volunteers are welcome to join this committee.
Membership Coordinator
Debbie Hilton, RN
The Membership Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and securing members for MOKSACVPR and for maintaining current contact information on all Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs in Missouri and Kansas.
Newsletter Editor
Judy Korte, RN-BC, BS
The Newsletter Editor is responsible for the development and distribution of the monthly MOKSACVPR member newsletter.
Nominations Coordinator
Val Kirby, RN
The Nominations Coordinator is responsible for coordination of candidate solicitation for open Board of Director positions in an election year. This person coordinates the distribution, collection, and tabulation of voting ballots.
Program Certification Coordinator
Lynn Hegvik, RN, BSN
The Program Certification Coordinator is responsible for serving as a resource to Missouri/Kansas Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs applying or interested in application for AACVPR certification and/or recertification.
Reimbursement Contact Person
Susan Hansen, RN, BSN, FAACVPR
This Reimbursement Contact Person is responsible for maintaining knowledge of current regulatory and reimbursement standards of practice for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs and serving as a resource for CR and PR programs within Missouri and Kansas. This position keeps abreast of interpretation of standards practice and issues regarding third party reimbursement and represents MOKSACVPR within the MAC J-5 region.
Website Coordinator

The Webiste Coordinator is responsible for development, updating and overall maintenance of the MOKSACVPR website.
