  • January meeting minutes sent via email
    • Change education meeting date to 1/24/23. Motion made to approve with date change by Tricia Walsh, seconded by Karen Ashworth. Approved unanimously

  • Standards and Issues—Sonny McNeilis 
    • Current Bills—hoping to attach these to another bill to expedite approval
      • H.R. 3348 (off campus departments) now has 37 sponsors
      • H.R. 1956 (NP supervision) now has 65 sponsors
      • Adding new bill in 2023 for regarding virtual services
  • Day on the Hill
    • March 7-8, 2023 in Washington DC with congressional Zoom meeting to follow.  Focus will be on the bills listed above. 
    • Motion made by Carolyn Beard to send two members to DOTH and cover expenses, preferably (1) MO and (1) KS member. Seconded by Tricia Walsh. Approved unanimously.
      • Follow up on motion made at 2/14/23 meeting to cover hotel and travel costs for LeAnn Dickson to attend, in return for her to present the information during regional meeting or conference.  Motion withdrawn.
      • Motion made by Tricia Walsh to pay for hotel only for Leann Dickson in return for her to present the information at regional meeting or conference.  Motion seconded by Carolyn Beard and passed unanimously. 
      • Follow up on motion made at 2/14/23 meeting to provide $100 / day in food costs (in addition to her travel / hotel costs) to Sonny McNeilis.  Motion passed unanimously.

Strategic Planning 2023-2024

  • Collaboration
    • Build and foster relationships with all Cardiopulmonary programs within MO / KS
      • Social events held at different regional locations throughout the year
  • Build relationships with neighboring affiliates
  • Send the Save the Date to neighboring states ACVPR boards and have them disperse to members.  We will offer the same for their conferences.
  • Build relationships with universities.
    • Reach out to universities with questionnaire about what students would like to see from our organization and what would encourage them to attend our events?  Cost? Content?
  • Career Development & Education
    • Remove “Livestream State Conference”
    • Remove “possible live stream conference in difference regions”
    • Promote Regional meetings
      • Have dates, location, and contact information available at state conference
  • Research and Marketing
    • Remove “student discount offered for state conference”
    • Remove “reach out to organizations and create booth swaps”
    • Edit “make site visits to program and make ourselves more available” to say “make board members more available and able to meet with struggling programs in our areas”
    • Update and organize facility information on website
      • Post maps of area with facility information at conference.  Have attendees review and update.

    • Each member review bylaws and bring any changes to next board meeting.
