October 15, 2019

Meeting called to order at 0700 by Tedd Walsh

September 2019 meeting minutes approved 

NEW BUSINESS

Committee Reports:

  • Treasurer’s Report–Tricia Walsh
  • Financial Report:  
    • Bank reports: Savings-$14,012.30 Checking–$14,232.09
  • Working budget:  
    • No updates

  • Speakers
    • We received another speaker proposal—will review in education committee meeting
  • Food
    • Grandma’s Catering
  • Vendors
    • Completed vendor contracts need to be sent to Amy 
    • Vendor letter will be going out soon.  Save the Date cards with updated date will be included in letter.
      • Add to letter: “For additional sponsorship opportunities, please contact Loretta or Sonny”.  Will remove “extras” from website. 
    • Platinum (4) $1200, Gold $700
  • Pricing
    • Early Bird registration thru March 6: $110 member, $140 non-member
    • Regular registration March 6-April 17: $140 member, $170 non-member
    • Late registration after April 17: $170 member, $200 non-member
  • 2021 Conference
    • Be thinking of locations, as Graceland will not be available.
    • Ideas:  Springfield, MO, KU, Hilton Garden Inn

    • Save the Date cards will be mailed out today. 
    • Loretta will send web blast with Save the Date information.
    • Cassandra will post to social media once registration goes live.

    • Off-site reimbursement is still being looked at
    • Pushing for NP oversighting to go into effect January 2020 instead of 2024.  AHA is backing bill.

  • Strategic Planning
  • Internship list
    • Compose a list of programs that accept interns and post to website.  Students will be able to make contact to programs directly. 
      • Send web blast for contact information on programs that accept interns.  Send info to Leann.
      • Leann and Amy will add information sheet to website
